Just for anyone coming across this, the VA study was retrospective with no control group, HC and AZ were only given to the sickest of the sick when they were in advanced stages of the disease, a large number of the group was already on ventilators, and others were within a day of being put on the ventilators, they were all almost 65+ years old with other serious health complications.....

I know this is a week later but it's still relevant to your post of a recent "study" in France. Not sure why you posted it or if you read the "study" results or the comments. Here are some of the comments:

But even accepting the poorly aligned baseline for disease severity, the outcomes with their wide 95% confidence levels do deliver a mildly promising indication on the 'swingometer'. They point more towards benefit than harm when using HCQ in this advanced disease state. Further trials should utilize conservative doses of CQ/HCQ which have been proven safe in many millions of patients.We don't yet know how this will pan out. We urgently need proper evidence. Statistically robust studies into prophylaxis and early intervention are likely to deliver the most interesting results.

Fucking unreal how much pushback there was people who have no business talking about medicine, about Doctors prescribing two benign medicines that have had an extremely successful record in early treatment. AMA offered no guidance on any treatments, Dr's were left to figure it out on their own, and then when trying to use a treatment that has shown success were stone walled, a treatment with very minor, and very well known, well documented side effects. NOT DANGEROUS TO THE PATIENT AT ALL.

Then assholes and media liars come out pushing ass hat studies that the drug combo wasn't working by using methodologies equivalent to saying that "Sunscreen doesn't work" not telling you that it was applied AFTER the patient was already sunburned.
