We have a 89 Imp Eleganza 31ft, in it we have two chevy big blocks at prox 770hp each. Best results we got with a pair of 28" PX5s reaching 88.6mph at 5100rpm. I know its a heavy boat but feels like there is more to it! Nose barely goes out of the water and rpm is still not that high.
Someone mentioned a 26" prop made to help lift the nose? The ppl that "knows" ask us why we are not faster at the shootouts based on the engines, but no one seems to have any real answer.
So I turn to the experience of RDP. Friend going to the US in two weeks and we think of buying a new pair of props. Its alot of money to throw at a try so all tips and help are welcome
