Check my math here. I figure 1.5 hours per pound in the smoker. Cook to 190 is that sound about right?

So I ended up not wrapping it. Cooked it straight on the smoker to 190. I only had the smoke on it for 4 hours. It was fall apart delicious and the home made BBQ sauce put it over the top.

Took right at 9 hours for a 6 lbs pork butt.

It was a little light on the smoke flavor. Next time I'll keep it on the smoke the entire time.

if you put it in colder and smoke it at 180 for 2-3 hrs you will get more smoke flavor. after the serfice temp of the meat gets above 140 degrees it seals off ..so lower at the start then up to 225-275 ...my .02
