The hell they are. I cut a sidewall on one of my Ultra4 front tires (40") in Moab a few weeks ago. Decided to replace both fronts. There went $1600.

Anyway, wish I'd have seen this pursuit. Seems like it ended up a little more satisfying than everything else that's been on lately...
