My dad has a 89 eliminator 21 ft with a 454 with lighting headers, right now he's running a 3 blade mirage, can he run a 4 blade bravo 24p or would that be to much prop, thanks in advance for the reply.

I think it's a 23p

Why would he want to switch to a four? To answer the question he would most likely end up stepping down to a 22 4 blade and then "tweaking" the prop a bit.

Dave is right, if he isn't wanting to lower his RPM, the size of the 4 blade should be smaller than the 3 blade. That was why I asked what pitch the 3 blade was, no way to answer without that.

That's what I was unsure about, if he went to a 4 blade would he move up or down a pitch.

a 3 blade would lift the bow if he needs that. a 4 blade would be better out of the hole

I have an 89 eliminator with a 454 with Powerflow exhaust. I have a 22 4 blade, a 23 3 blade and a 24 4 blade that I run on them. All of them are stainless props. The four blades definitely lift the stern. You can visibly see it drop a few inches when you are driving. I think that the 23 seems to have the best acceleration although I can pull a skier with all three without a problem. The revs vs top speed vary by about 100 to 150 rpm. I'm typically running in the 4500 to 4700 rpm range at WOT. My motor is a 7.4LX with Powerflow, edelbrock intake and Holley 750. Top speed ranges from 60 to 65 based upon a water flow speedometer, trim, water conditions and air temp.
My rig is setup with left hand props or I'd let you test a couple if you wanted.
(Also have a 19 3 blade and a 21 3 blade, I have a habit of picking up props off craigslist when I see them!)
I hope this helps.

I know this chick who has a 454 mill in her jet boat. Smoking hot, funny as a fart in church, and smart as OJ's legal team. Hasn't been around in a while.

When you run the 4 blade which works best the 22 or 24 just cruising around the lake with about 4 to 6 adults

I was out at Mohave last weekend and I ran the 22. It had plenty of hole shot, pulled skiers great and we did a run from Cottonwood to the Dam with 5 adults and a nice easy run. I have trim tabs on the boat so I can pull the bow down with them as well. That 454 sits heavy in the rear of the boat so the lift is good. I can use more trim with the 4 blade than I can with the 3 blade before I start bouncing.
