Is anyone running a TCI pump drive with the TCI adjustable slip collar for the th400? We had some problems during our lake test where the trans pump pushed the spline towards the engine over a 1/4". It's actually disengaging the drive pump from the trans pump.
I am wondering what we are doing wrong here if anything at all and what would be the fix. Supposedly these trans pumps make about 240/250 lbs of pressure and the installation instructions say to torque the adjustable slip collar down to 10 lbs.
We thought about milling the adjustable slip collar down a bit and tightening it down more or buying a steal slip collar and torquing it down. But we are also wondering if there's something else going on that is causing this problem. Any help would be appreciated.
