This is a 18' v-6 I/O run about. GVW tag on trailer shows 3k lbs. I've always run nylon bias ply tires on it. My local Goodyear guru talks me into radial trailer tires. These are Goodyear Marathon P215 75R-14's load range C. I have 50 psi in them. I'm disturbed by the massive bulge at the contact point. My guru says that the bulge is normal and the tires can take the weight. To all u guys running radials, is this normal?

I've always ran car tires on my Competitive Trailer. They actually came that way when it was new. I change them every 4-5 years or so and have never had a problem.

Edit, I run the same size tire and have been running 38-40psi in them. I think I am running Hankook Optimo H724's now.

I put a marathon on my trailer in a pinch after a blow out. The marathon failed before the other older 3. Lol

My radial trailer tires have always looked like that. Run around 45-48 lbs. in them.

The C's will do that.
We always get the higher load ratings.
Marathons are good now.
