I just asked asked this question regarding a jeep....got all kinds of responses... I was looking for a jeep gladiator. Found via jeep forums... Robert Trachtman (fleet guy) at Tuttle Click in Irvine (not Tustin)... He was a able to get me a jeep gladiator built the way I wanted from factor for 3% under invoice...if you join tread lightly for $100 then you additional 1% under invoice... So you can likely get Ram for 4% under invoice maybe more....this deal was to a jeep gladiator rubicon diesel but assume similar would exist for the ram trucks. Also pretty sure the treadlightly discount is good across all FCA brands...

I was looking around a while ago. Call the guy at Hoblit Dodge in Woodland. I posted his contact info on BHC Vic's truck thread.

Headed up the Dave Smith in a week or so to pick up my new 3500. They pick up 20-30 people a day at Spokane airport.
How does the California taxes work with that? Rolled into the price or do u have to send the dmv a check

You pay just the price of the truck at DS in Idaho..

then for calif, you are required to get a certified weight tag for the truck.

youll also need to get the truck smogged in calif.
Then you take all your paperwork to calif dmv and youll pay your: sales tax, and dmv registration fees..

I did it in2018 on my ram 3500 cummins

I'm looking for a 1500 with 5.7 eTorque. They don't have a single one on their web site.

There’s a lot of information on here. 10-15% off msrp seems to be the goal. That’s before any incentives. You can lock in available incentives when you order a truck and get the better of the two the month your truck arrives. There’s strategies and advice all over that thread. I usually start at the end and work backwards. Happy hunting.

Good information on getting the best price and which dealers too.

Looks like about 7k in fees and taxes using the dmv calculator for a 80k 2021 diesel 🙄.

I live about 2 miles from the "largest volume ram dealer in texas..." I searched for what I wanted for a few months.. Anderson had what I wanted and it was a better deal than I could have gotten in TX....

Depending on your counties tax rate. I think the check I wrote was 7600 tax and lic...

the issue is do you want to save money. You’re going to pay tax, and lic based on sales price period...

mans don’t think for a minute I didn’t seriously try to pull a PO Box with an actual address in Oregon to get out of writing that big ass check, because I researched it hard trying to screw my own state.

in the long run, it’s totally possible.. but it’s a lot of work trying to cheat that big. In the end I decided to play it straight.

In 2019 I searched every dealer in the western US for the best deal on the new 1500 Limited. Really every, just for the sake of conquest, it's was a fucking sport for me, took months to find the unicorn. Cash deal, no trade the best was Ram /Dodge of Tempe...ask for Joseph. Yes it was the cheapest price but not worth the hassle. It took like four trips to the DMV, had to get the truck weighed and inspected, just a hassle. Next time I'm sticking to within CA for my search if I ever do this again.

RAM 1500 supply can be short, I got mine last year at Chapman in Vegas, around $1,500 below invoice less $6,500 in rebates at that time. I got a Limited diesel.
