So quick update rival offroad sent me a replacement for the drivers side door. It is made the same way as the one they have currently. Turns out they had an entire production run of these things welded wrong.

I am going to cut the one apart and have Jeff weld it back together..

When Daniel crashed this thing in glamis he bent the frame slightly. Justin down at Bodyline was gonna our it on the rack and sratighten it but the car was too small. So he used a pole and a come along.

The car is going to clean concepts now to change “the look” a bit and then going to Jeff’s for fab work, then wired for sound.

any luck with the chain kit? Looking for more torque for my daughters ride. Also, what size rims/tires did you go with? I’ve already installed the highlighter 2” kit. Any info is appreciated. I can’t find shit for this thing on the internet!

Haven’t installed it yet. They are doing the fab work right now and starting the installation of all the electronics etc..

So Morphic has been plugging away at this slowly but surely!!

New roof / whips / lightbar and rear view mirror

Down tubes in the back / # plates

chase light and you can see the wetsounds sound bar

sprockets changed and new chain

both doors installed

Really happy with how it’s turning out!

That looks awesome! I got the 12tooth sprocket installed and I am mounting the rims and tires today. This thing has been a bear to find parts for. With the lug pattern being different sizes front to back, it’s been a pain in my ass! Luckily, the last thing for me is going to be a light bar and a sound bar so I’m in the home stretch!

@RiverDave If you are going to put an intercom in, Rugged has their 357 2 place intercoms on clearance sale right now, $200. They only have 8 left.

That, a $25 handheld radio and another $100 of cables and you'll have a complete 2 person comms package, minus the headsets for under $400.


Otherwise if you just wanted to do the radio with a hand mic for them, Rugged makes this neat mount for the $25 Baofeng and the handheld mic. It is all one piece.

If you wanted to run the radio off of the car's electrical system there is an option to do that as well so you never have to worry about charging the handheld's battery.

Finally got the rims and tires installed. Had to do a little plastic trimming to get the fronts to fit.

I bought four of the handhelds preprogrammed fromRyan Felish here in Havasu. He gave me the secret service style ear pieces as well as some plastic around the ear deals.. the secret service style should go right in there ear with a helmet on..

Almost the same car. They have the same chassis but there are just enough changes to make things difficult. For instance, the bolt pattern on the ace is 4/136 all the way around. The ranger is 4/136 rear, 4/110 front. Any bodywork is different as well.

they finished the cage extension and number plates and a whole bunch of other upgrades!

they installed the custom sprockets (car is way faster now)

Doors and wrap finished off by Clean concepts

Custom front bumper / skid plate and tow hook!

just have a few factory stickers to take off and it’s done!

new interior ordered through Devious powersports

Soubdbar so dad can listen to music at the campfire

The tow anchor point was because there is no way to tow it home if something breaks on it when it was stock.. My son popped a tire off a bead in Glamis and we tried to tow it from the roll cage and that was a sketchy experience to say the least.. LOL.

Now we can tow it if he breaks it or if it needs to be towed for some reason.. You can't push start something with a centrifugal clutch.

Little update on my build…. Added the music, sound bar, underglow, switch panel and painted the dash. Might add a slim subwoofer next for a little added bump and maybe a windshield and doors. My daughter is about to be 15 so it might be time to sell this one and start looking for a 570 or similar. This thing is just way to cool. It’s super capable on the trails and the kid loves the sound bar. Just might be a little small at this point. Whenever we have a party, I pull this out of the garage and run the battery tender out to it and play music all night. Better than any little Bluetooth speaker!
