I went a few years ago, somebody hit and killed a duck, wasn’t a good vibe after that.

10k just like a full size boat it's a hole in the water that you throw money into. LOL

Shane is a good contact to get set up with arc boat or at least get some info on which way to go in the sport. You guys should check out the race. It’s a good time.

I could build several 1st class competitive race boats for that much.

Come on out to the Bridgewater Channel next to the famous London Bridge for the District 19 15th Annual Remote Control Boat Racing event, one of the largest gas RC boat races in the country, and with speeds from 60-90 miles per hour, proving this is an event not to be missed! Various classes will be racing an oval course in the Channel. Drivers earn points, with drivers coming from California, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona.

This event is free, so bring your lawn chairs and be ready for two days of a flat-out great time! Best viewing locations will be the island side of the Channel along the walkway and from the London Bridge. Note that viewing on the hotel side of the Channel by the golf course is not advised as this is the pit area for the racers and the area will be very congested.

HOURS Friday: Practice from 12pm-5pm Saturday & Sunday: Racing 8am-5pm

Event dates, times and/or details are subject to change. Please contact event coordinator to verify information.

Just south ok Komos race starts at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday testing Friday
And just a side note we never intentionally aim for water foul sometimes they will land in front of a boat or pop up from under water and there’s just no way to avoid them they will really tear a boat too so no one wants to hit them.

We used to do a lot of racing 15 yrs ago. My father, uncle, neighbor and I used to compete in outrigger hydro cat and mono class. The G class and the X class. My namba number used to be 946. My fathers 947 and uncles 948.
was a lot of fun when I was 13! I’ll try and digup some photos of our old boats. We used to run a lot of the Insane hulls and the RC boatworks hulls.
