the rc boat club guys run over on the shore line of rotary park by the skate park. they meet up Sunday morning I believe.Where is a good place to run RC boats in Havasu?
My Traxxas had a small porpoise, read elsewhere to do adjustable tabs and set the port tab down 3/4 turn down from zero and the starboard one to zero or up to 1/4 turn up, did that and she takes a beautiful set and no hop at all now100% they are just like real boats ... pain this the A$$ lol
People were doing something similar and catching world record trout inside the buoy line of dams. They put a stop to that pretty fast.RC Boats for fishing??
So I was watching this guy last summer "shore fish" at one of the lakes in these parts. I was fishing too, but he had a small RC boat, he would put his bait on the back of his boat (looks like he had a little platform made on the back) open the bail on his reel and "drive" his bait wayyyyyy out in the lake then pull the bait off and drive his boat back to shore. He was catching more fish than I was, I could not cast that far out.
Pretty clever and fun to watch. Just thought I would add a random RC story to this thread.![]()
Canāt afford another one thenFrom what I was told, Lee laid it up. So it is a real Schiada.
Hauling the Traxxas M41 and spare parts etc is a motha, playing a few weeks ago on Amazon, found a bad ass 45ā bag, however it did t really do any good as the bag was just a limp bag. Thought to get 1/2ā pvc and build a cage inside the bag and now itās perfect.
20$ bag 35$ in pvc fittings perfect.
Iāll have to pull the pvc frame out and get better pics. View attachment 1079289 View attachment 1079290 View attachment 1079291
Heres a good video of racing in heavy wind and chop .How do these fast boats handle normal chop? Does the water need to be glass for you to really open them up?

They still run them there.Used to love to watch them run down in mission bay as a kid.
I am still learning mine, a mild chop is awesome, helps pack air and plants it. Mine is only 40ā long and light so much over 3ā and she gets real flighty. Glass is a blast at mid throttle and cutting tight turns, itās crazy what it does for a 450$ boat. That's not bad at all. I expected them to be bouncing all over the place like they were on whoops.
Redid to be able to haul the boys boat as well. Finally remembered to pull out of bag. View attachment 1087570 View attachment 1087571

The boats are cool, but I went and did something stupid recently and bought this Traxxas K5 rock crawler. Cost was around $500 then add 2 batteries and a charger and it's up to around $750 and my Amazon shopping cart has another $400 in it for upgrades but not ready to hit the buy button just yet. I can see this hole getting deeper.View attachment 879499 View attachment 879500
