Helpful hint from a guy who has done this a few times.

You buy a new rear end? If your using the rear end from the tandems be careful with your weight. They are smaller and built lighter to work as a tandem. If your pulling full weights you will wanna buy a complete rearend from a wrecked 2 axle tractor. They are beefy and noticeably bigger. American truck parts/salvage (Phoenix) always has them. You can buy the whole thing...housing,gears, hubs, brakes, etc .....ready to drop in for $900

Trying to finish up our new house by March 1 or else we’ll be homeless  It’s consumed almost everyday off for the last 18+ months. I have a bunch of trim to paint and detailing left, hang light fixtures, carpet, then final inspections.

Mounted a rigid 7 inch in the bumper and added some carbon fiber to the existing white plastics.

I figured if Stacy David can have a "what are you working on" so can RDP.

I'm working on a 49 Buick Dynaflow today. Cracked exhaust manifold and 2 broken bolts, hopefully no more, I had the owner spray the bolts with PB Blaster for the last 3 days with the engine cold and warm a couple times a day.

Ryan is the only guy I've ever felt with. I can't wait to get the motor on the Dyno and then in the boat.
Hell ya!! He had been working for Jim since we graduated High School (17 years).

Well, this is my Tuesday afternoon progress. Yesterday was spent getting together scaffold and hoist. The truck is a late 70's F350, with an 11k winch and hillbilly magic. The scaffolding is borrowed from a neighbor. The Horrible Freight hoist was cobbled together and attached to the top. That piece was actually two roll cage front strut downbars...120 dom. Easier and more controlled than pulling up girts with a rope:)

Looks really good, did you do it yourself?

My driveway is starting to develop some cracks especially where I pull my motorhome in and out and always wonder how hard it would be to break out the existing with a tractor and then pour new. Not sure how much of a cost savings their would be or just pay and leave it to the people who know what they are doing.

No, I went with PVM Concrete. I originally planned to sub it out piece by piece but found there really wasn’t a cost savings. The slope and drainage issues were also well above my skill set.

Did you do the chop? Looks really good, hard to get the back window to layout right...lots of time. Wife doesn't care for customs much...but a garage find 51 merc just popped up here in town. . .
Hey there, Chop is done nice but no I didn’t do the cutting. Yeah it’s a laminated stock back glass cut down and yes you rarely see stock back glass after a chop.
