I’m defaulting to the 120 volt man when Edison kills our power.
Part of this project is a back up swamp cooler I’m installing to run on generator power.

I’m pro active wanting to coat the water pan with Flex seal to avoid future corrosion.
Ive never used it in this application. Never used Flex seal spray either.

Will it adhere ok? Or will it bubble and peal?

If cleaned well , it will stick. I need to find new sides for mine. Well water, even with an anode and filter there all rusted.

I'm thinking the roll on/brush on might be better. The can stuff is like water.

Totally made me miss the good old days seeing this! I have not strung a car in over a decade now...

I’m always in need of some pit crew if you’re interested. I don’t have any help Friday and have room for two more pit crew all weekend at Fontana.

It's nice when they come right off the dyno, they fire right up! 😊 Just need to install front bumper and hood and it's test drive time.

There's just no better sound then a big block chevy idling like that. My dad had a 70SS 454 chevelle, and it sounded just like that. Brings back a lot of my childhood memories.

#1 Wife wanted me to weld and build a router sled so shw could flatten a nice piece of hardwood to make a coffee table. She covered it in resin and it looks badass.

#2 We bought a fire pit kit and the metal insert was too big for the size we built. I cut it down, welded it back together, ground down the welds, and repainted it.

Goddamn my welds are fugly but they hold 😂 Disclaimer: I have extremely minimal experience

#3 I'm starting to build an end grain cutting board.

changing my gate on my south side, I have wanted it to match my North side (drive way side) where I have to wooden gates that span the 12' opening. I built the gates right after the house in 2003 and have refinished them once, they are heavy and have held up pretty dam well as I built the gates out of 3x6 with mortise and Lap joints. I built the exact gates made it look like one of my drive way gates but it will split in the middle. I had some old 4X8 beams and some 3x12's so broke out the table saw and made my 3x6's I was able to build these and clean out my wood rack, I guess I can say this is a recycled gate, hoping to hang these tomorrow night.

So I haven't made much progress on my project of converting a gas concrete saw to electric other than buying a welder to put everything together. Well I dug the other frame out of the side yard and got an itch to start it. Found an electric motor 4 hours away and was going to get it this weekend but got a job Saturday. Figured I'll go next weekend but started listening to Anthrax and now I want to drink beer and listen to Anthrax on the boat so now I may go to the river next weekend. What I have and what I'm trying to accomplish. New is $16k. I think I can build mine for $2800.

Mine is down to the plywood. I need to make a decision, but I’ll probably just re sheet the roof while I’m at it.
The cost of plywood is outrageous right now. Haven't priced shingles in a bit, but sure they're stupid now too. If you aren't decided on future colors on the house, or future renovations, a roll of felt, a couple bundles and an afternoon and you could be safe for a bit. No doubt you may need a roof, but sometimes timing is a pain.

This is the roof over the shop. More than likely that’s probably what I’ll do. I did just get like 30 buckets of weather tech I kind of want to use

House looks awesome. Where is this located?
Thanks. Murrieta

to update, I got the shop up and I just finished a majority of the electrical last weekend. I need to frame some walls and get the air compressor enclosure done and the welder and lathe setup. And to add to it, I just bought a Bridgeport mill that I need to move, wire up, and rebuild.

15hp electric motor is here for the bigger frame. Got to make the motor mount, order sheaves, and wiring. Still trying to get the 10hp motor for the push frame but can't get seller to commit to a pick up date.

More electric motor. I got lucky with this one. The motor is 2" wider when I thought it was the same dimensions as my other electric saw. Trouble is fitting the blade guard and sheave spacing on the output shaft side. These motors are already too wide for these frames. I had space to move it over 1-1/2" with the only downside being is I will have to remove the blade shaft to replace belts.

Edit to add photo. Mounted the other motor temporarily to make sure it fits. So far so good. May have to cut the output shafts on both.

Will you still be able to swap sides with the blade? I know you don't need to very often but sometimes you just have to.

I'll still be able to swap blades up to a 20" on both sides. The water block on the 24" blade guard hits the motor on the right side so, 24" left side only and same with the other push saw. But I'm sizing the sheaves for 18" blades. I do blade swap often with the push frame. You need to when cutting in bathrooms.

I'm currently writing the RiverDave Story. A novel.

I just finished Chap 11: Courtesy Flush.
I'm on Chap 12: The Origin of RDSUX.
Then Chap 13: Miss Bitches Lock-in School for Incorrigible Boys.

Maybe I'll post some sample excerpts from a few chapters.

I'm usually cutting streets, curb & gutter and sidewalks, I don't have to swap too often.

Adapted a disused sprinkler supply to a hose bib Sill-Cock and ran the 1/4" water supply from there.
I ordered the parts from Home Depot and they sent 2 of everything but I was only billed for singles. They told me to keep the spares.

The Flex seal spray (reservoir) coating needs at least two coats and at least two days between applications and filling with water. I gave it a week. Adheres great.

Current project is the old trusty rhino. It’s been through 13 years of abuse and having 4 teenage boys doesn’t help. Lol.

It’s ats34. Hard as f. Thought I was done sanding and went to buffer. Nope. Still got marks. I bought the blank cut out and treated. Sand and polish. Make handle and put the edge on.
