From a knife maker that’s long out of business. You can buy blanks online but most are tool steel and are machine finished. This came roughed in with 120. Took it to 600-800 thought it was pretty good and hit it with buffer, nope. But the imperfections are what make it kustom right?😂

69 SS Nova. Now lets get that dragstrip going in Havasu🤷🏻‍♂️
Its alive. Well kinda. Lol. One test hit with a rough tune and no nitrous was quite impressive. Waiting on a new converter from FTI and going to 33 spline axles from Strange. Working on an afr gauge/O2 set up now

Did some machining for the first time on a small JET lathe. Taking material off so I can mount the sheaves further onto the shaft. Got the breaker and it fired up. 480 volt 3 phase. Now I have to take it apart to finish welding the motor mount, make a belt guard, finish jack shaft, mount alternator, and mount an ammeter.

started with this rusted out pump and housing from the early 60s. rebuilt the pump section and built all new column, outlet and flanges. it sat next to the canal until it's mate died last week. Then the panic was on to install it. this pump lifts the 20 inch column of water up about 10 ft and drops it into the next canal for some fields in Poston.

Assuming you pulled the centers and installed on new hoops? I love that look and always wanted that on my bug when I had it.

More parts this week. I'm about 90% done on the orange one. Made that belt guard in an hour. Need to paint the belt guard, install the pointer, and waiting on the ammeter. One thing I always do and no matter how many times I do it, I will just keep doing this thing. For some reason when I grease the shaft bearings I'll always start the saws up on my driveway and fling grease everywhere. Just did it with this one.

All done with this one minus a new volt meter and plug for where the tach was. 15HP single speed on a Meco 35 frame, gas engine (still have the gas cap). Left the ignition in so I can turn the alternator on and off. Started with a frame and built everything else. Once it makes some money its getting powder coated forest green metallic.

Looks good, should look outstanding when it's powder coated

I fixed my emergency generator. Was able to order a new carb, drained the old fuel, put in new, fixed the pull start that broke. Fired right up. It has a battery charger on it so I made a custom set of battery cables, eyelets on one side battery clamps on the other.

Bought this cart off a member over the weekend. Seats are at the upholstery shop and I started tearing it down to go to the paint shop Sunday. After that taking it to the stereo shop. Going to paint it the same color as my truck. Already put the 20mph chip in it and kicking around the idea of a lift with wheels and tires. Should do the trick this summer at the river.

I have to raise the boat trailer fenders to clear new tires as the ones that are on it are very expensive and hard to get, 205/65D14. Going with 205/75R14. So I have to raise the fenders and the carpet currently touches the boat. Removing the carpeted 1/2" plywood and installing carpeted 1/8" aluminum. Hope I can get the clearance. If not, I'll pull the fenders outward as well. Good thing I finished my now "work bench" project yesterday. Still need to fold the carpet over and cut the studs.

Picking up a Stohr Sports Racer this weekend for a friend. We'll have two Stohrs at Area27 now, added to the few dozen Radicals already there.

Video of the actual car we\re picking up from Mark. running in Mission Raceway road course. He had lousy tires on and his time reflects that, haha

Is that a Hayabusa car? I’ve always wondered how the trans hold up in those.

Yes, this car is Hayabusa engined. Also, the Radicals use Hayabusa or Honda power as well.
Our FC F2000 Van Diemen has the transaxle like all Formula open wheel cars and the Hewland transaxle is more $$$$ to repair/replace. My buddy's 2019 Radical has the Six-speed sequential gearbox with Formula 1TM ‘style’ paddle-activated gearshift system with auto-blipper. Quaife final drive and limited-slip differential. I prefer old school H pattern cars myself.

Makes sense. At Willow about a year ago I was looking at a spec racer and it had chain drive? Did not see how it would hold up to the weight.
