Painting the spare to match the rest of my GX wheels as it is being moved from under the vehicle to a tire carrier on the back this weekend. “Too big to fit underneath”

Holy shit that’s nice! Sano rigging, who’s doing all the rigging and aluminum machine work? My only gripe is that the trim pump is in a carpeted compartment makes for a nice stain if there is a leak.

All fabrication, rigging, wiring and plumbing done in-house, including the trailers by Andy Myers.

Little sis’ moving back to the area and got a house in escrow with a detached master bedroom a couple feet below FF of the main house . Blew out a hallway with a couple posts/ footings to the truss with stairs, new closet , doors/ trim/ hardware, lots of elec to move, paint , flooring, and loft railing in 35 days which is tough with how much new construction we have going on .

Little disgusted with myself because I bought a tool cart from Harbor Freight but for $100 and no comparable type cars this will do for my welding cart project. I considered just building my own cart but just for one 10' long 1"x1" 13 gauge tube is $30. Pre covid it was $10. Made the bottle rack today and currently painting. If anyone does this make sure to install fixed casters on one end. They all swivel and if you push the cart from the sides instead of the ends it will tip over. I almost tipped it today.

Finished this thing awhile ago but finally bought and installed the ammeter. Last picture is from the ad. Bought it pretty much for the frame and the gas engine was dusted... I have the same exact saw with a single phase 240 volt motor. I also have 3 phase 480 volt saws. This one is 3 phase and reason I built it is because I didn't feel like carrying two separate extension cords. I keep the 240 volt saw for small jobs that have 240 outlets.

From a non running messy concrete splattered mess to this. Runs strong and is for sell. Reason for the gray paint, it was left over from another project. Automotive paint is expensive. A pint with reducer and hardener is $75. Still need a grip for the handlebar.

Looking good...lots and lots of glue! Titebond III is the same glue that I use. Looks like you've got a really nice setup for woodworking!

Thank Nordie, I buy it by the gallon lol, yeah lots of work getting it to where I want. I have to make it all pack away so I can fit two SUVs in the garage when I am done.

This is a 4x8 birch that are on hinges and folds against the wall.
IMG_3715.jpg

The miter bench is 25” wide and the saw is a 12” dual compound so I turn it on the 45 when as it is wider than the bench.
IMG_3714.jpg

The table saw and planer get tucked away under this bench and the dust collector goes next to it.
IMG_3717.jpg

And all the rest of the stuff get stowed in or under the miter bench.
IMG_3716.jpg

It’s not perfect but it works for what I call my therapy on the weekends.

I've been dabbling in making boards, but summer finally got to me and I decided to take a break. I'll be cleaning my garage this weekend and moving more stuff to my storage unit, because saw dust gets everywhere. I wish my garage was as well equipped as yours, but I had to start all over.

When I was in Florida for a year some people decided they liked my tools and belongings in the house more than I did. 5 years ago I had maybe a few screwdrivers to my name, so it's been a slow rebuild. Once I get the garage reorganized I'm looking at a flat rolling work bench that I will be using for a router sled and glue ups. Other then building the router sled table, I'll keep searching CL for a jointer.

Yeah I sold everything when I moved from Havasu to Florida and was slowly acquiring them. I am blessed to have these tools, the majority of them are from one of my best friends who passed away at the beginning of the year. His family knew how I enjoyed woodworking and gifted them to me. He was a finish carpenter by trade and I feel he is helping build stuff every time use them.

That's awesome, those tools were meant to be used! A lot of my stuff was from my grandfather that was stolen, that's what broke my heart the most.

Use them like they were meant to, and make sure to keep all of your digits. 👍

Gotta get ready for winter. Buddy at work hooked me up with a load of wood. Just have to let is season and split it. It’s only pine but I get plenty of oak from work, I have about a half cord of that to cut up as well. We’ll still have to buy a cord of mix for winter.

Besides still working on the 57 F350 my ass went and bought a Samurai. Gonna go through it and change all the fluids, filters and a tuneup. Timing belt and valve adjustment as well. Good friend convinced me to let him bring over his new to him 63 Ford Country Sedan and help go through the brakes and tuneup the engine as well. I swear I work more on the weekends than I do at work.

I was down with the “Vid” the week before last when the County called and said a permit I applied for a couple months ago to connect another deck into the existing across the front of my house was ready to pick up. We’ve been meaning to do this ever since I built the house and realized it needed it , so since I was still laying low we removed a couple roofs, saved the 2 piece clay tiles for the addition , and got it ready for footing inspection. Strongwall bolt kits never showed up because things are still fucked , so I made some up yesterday ( yes I know they are set back 1” for a pop out , and the hoops aren’t there yet but will do that in the a.m. ). All my neighbors walk/ drive by and give me shit that it looks like I had leaks/ rot and am having to fix my own house lol . Due to the lead time on the 3’6”x 7’6” Andersen door I ordered to replace a window onto the new part it may drag out for months but at least it’ll be dried in fairly soon. This was one of the first houses where we used vinyl weep, vinyl vent strip , bituthene with no fasteners through horizontal surfaces , tyvek under double paper under stucco with the typical copper/ lead coastal salt air flashings and after demo it had held up really well - lots of roof to wall and various flashing connections that can fail.

Used it for the first time yesterday since I completed the conversion. Did pretty well and got the job done. Confirmed it needs new wheels as one is a 1/4" more worn that the other and it won't travel without the diff locked. Need to look into the belt shaving issue as well.
