Looks great... Love those Bronco's

Just got to say, how long do you think the gas tank is going to survive?

I was actually just looking at my blazer yesterday and thought to myself I'm going to need to plate it....last thing I need is an ass end landing and pop the tank out in the desert.

Seriously bad-ass for sure 👍 I can't imagine the cost, but I'd sure love to own one. 😁
One year build time frame, holy patience
Curious, this thing is rear sprung like a F-550, I thought these vehicles were sprung soft with the massive shocks providing control dampening. ?
Is there a final painting coming up ? The mismatched white's are giving my OCD's fits. ;)

Can't wait to read the follow up ride report after the maiden voyage. 👍👍👍

Large number of soft leafs. Definitely not sprung heavy 👍

Thanks, so many leafs threw me. Also I noticed the primary leaf span seems rather wide. I'm certainly not familiar with how these vehicles are designed, constructed or how they ride, only seen the racing vids and they look pretty cushy, until you see their noggins snapping around like a bobble head doll. So I'm sure at race velocity, it appears much more gentle than what it really is in the seat.

Disclaimer: I am not a leaf spring expert nor did I sleep at a Holiday Inn last night but I did have long travel leafs on a truck that worked great

The length of the leafs and the length of the shackle all play into the pack as well. You can see that the first few inches of travel are basically only controlled by the shock as the shackle moves up. From there, the shackle has a ton of movement to allow the leafs to probably go almost completely flat before bottoming out. Pretty impressive really :)

The last part of the wait is the worst. Every time we think it’s done something small pops up.

Sprung relatively soft and controlled with shocks. 20+inches of travel in the rear.

20", wow, hard to imagine just how awesome it is driving something this well designed and built. Hopefully any and all build wrinkles will be discovered and sorted out asap.
With both cars and of course boats, I do understand how "Custom" works.

When it's all over and sorted out, Mom is going to have a uniform WHITE vehicle right ? Please 😁

What is the story on the motorcycle "rack"? is it a turntable? I could copy that idea if it is.
I don't want to have to go back, what motor/trans and t case combo?

You mean the rack on the trailer? It’s just a joe hauler slid into the receiver for the winch. Worked out pretty perfect.

Motor trans tcase are all stock bronco.

Funny...mine was a "3 month time frame" and I'm at month 8. And for the last 2 months its been "a couple more weeks"....go figure. Damn season will be over

Really happy. Today was the maiden voyage. Pretty much dialed out of the box. A few minor adjustments and she just eats.

How did you like the power from the motor?

Didn’t you go with the eco boost?

Non of those vids show grandma driving her new toy!

LoL

Looks really sharp and sounds good to!

Power is good. We kept the stock v8

She wasn’t able to make it out so will be driving it for the first time Presidents’ Day.

I see most of the photos were taken @RicherRacing and a few @ohhchofab.

Did Richer do all the fab work gage, dash, sus everything ?

What work did Andrew do @ohhchofab and did you use any of his suspension ?

Thanks

This was Johnny’s (richer racing) perosnal Bronco build. He ended up selling to us mid build and we finished it at his direction.

Bronco turned out great RB. Would you mind giving details on the transmission? I notice a Winter's style shifter in there. My '90 has a 5.8 and a C6 and I am exploring overdrive options in the future and am considering 4l60/80 adapted and full manual..

Stock e40d trans with an upgraded valve body. Overdrive is controlled by one of the switches in the switch panel.
