70ish on a good day. Stock 225 Pro Max, no jack plate. Most of the time I run a 5 blade prop for skiing.

Lee has joked around with me about putting a 300 on it....I honestly can't recall ever seeing a 20' with one. I think the transom would sit real low in the water. As it is now, I have to keep on the move to avoid being swamped every time a roll bar boat gets too close! Looks like a nice Vector in your avatar:thumbsup

If weight is the concern I think it could easily be done. The 225 evinrude weighs 515 and. 300xs is within 5 pounds of that depending in drive shaft. I think the merc 225 is basically the same weight as the e-tec. It definitely would be a force to be reckoned with if it had 300
