Unfortunately Sam Foose died today. For those that don’t know of him he is the Father of Chip Foose. I was fortunate enough to know him for the last 8 years or so and can tell you he was a hell of a guy, a big kid really. Sam was well known throughout the custom car groups and built many well known customs. He will truly be missed!

I had the pleasure of meeting both Sam and Chip a few times when I lived only a few houses from Chip for a short period of time. Even when Overhauling was at peak of popularity they were both Family First humble guys. RIP Sam and best wishes for the entire Foose Family.

I met Sam via the old car world. He was very cool, and a blast to talk to. I'm sure he'll be missed by many, but in good company with the car guys that have passed in the last year or so.
RIP sir, I hope St.Peter has a garage ready!

I have friends that knew him and felt the same way terrible for his family.

My grandpa knew Sam in passing i gathered, yet when they ran into eachother at the LA Roadster show, Sam knew my grandpa by name. My Grandpa spoke extremely highly of him and that was very rare for him to do so.

RIP Sam

When we first moved to Calif., we lived one street over from them. Either my Sister or I would babysit Chip and his sisters.
