I need a boat because.. well I have never not had one before and I figured out pretty quick I get anxiety without one.
While we are shopping for the new rdp flagship I ran across this little Daytona. As says 5500 bucks, I paid less (I don’t kiss and tell).

needs the transom redone but overall a killer little lower river boat.. 70+ mph I figure under 7k. I got two sets of friends looking for a starter boat so I will grab it fix it up, use it and sell to them..

Plus we get some boat content..

Nobody is gonna recognize you in something that little. It will probably be alot more fun than the others, throw the cooler on the deck, run the shallow waters, no worries

We replaced the transom on our 19' CC recently using a product called Sea Cast. It's a baby blue colored pourable composite. Just an option to consider.

XRI's are sought after, its a 2.5 compared to a 2.4, fuel injection, vented cowl, and if its a 200 they were closer 20 225 hp. That boat is a death trap with that much power and not power steering, the torque steer coming out of the hole has to be huge. I had a Dana Dart 17 with a 135 and cable steering and I could barely hold on to the wheel coming out of the hole.

They do make no-feedback cable steering. Really all it is is a different helm unit between the steering wheels and the cable. Some sort of magic with planetary gears in there eliminates the torque steer. FYI

I had a 19ft searay with a black max on it blow out a hydraulic steering line on me on a lake test a couple years ago. And I mean full on blow out. It was the scariest half a second of my life on a boat. All steering system types have their advantages and disadvantages

Thats cool, Id love to run that on the lower river.

You know you have to get a hall pass from Mel if you want to run down there

Yep I had one for a while I got from Bobby.,great boat. Had a 45 on it and ran 45. I sold to @BingerFang and always missed it. I actually looked at buying that red one for a while but ended up getting a stoker instead. I was interested what it will really run with that motor.
