any recommendations on purchasing roofing shingles and material other than Home depot/Lowes???

Having the roof done but i'll be purchasing the raw materials...

There’s a couple of places you can Google for in San Bernardino that are roofing supply places. Can’t say yea or nay on any of them but they are worth calling for brands and prices. I hope you know what you want.

Been away for too long to be any real help.
If you're doing it all, get measurements for edgemetal, flashings if you're going to replace them or dormer vents as well. Get a price on the whole lot, metal is cheaper through a roof supply over HD. Also see if they include loading, or it's an extra charge.
It was always nice to get to the site and everything was already on the deck. The job itself sucks, so any help is great. Humping bundles up ladders sucks!

I assuming you’re looking for asphalt shingle or tile roof materials but anybody know a metal roofing wholesaler that sells to the public in SoCal? I want to have a metal roof done on my house but the contractors I’ve spoken with don’t seem to know that they’re talking about and I feel like I’d have a better chance at doing it right myself as a self installer.
