Recently had my motor (454) jet serviced and added a Place Diverter. The shop added a "Good used A impeller". Went to Parker after Easter...motor ran great but I was only getting 4200 RPMs and 42 MPH (on GPS). Used to get 4600 RPMs and 50ish MPH. Any thoughts on where to start?

What position was the place diverter in ?? Was it up or down in comparison to before you had one..
It's basically in the same place. It doesn't seem to be up or down from before.

Any chance the carb was tinkered with. If it has vacuum secondaries maybe they aren’t opening.
No carb work done recently, but I'll definitely check that out. Dropped it at a different shop yesterday.

With pump freshened up and “good” A impeller it may be loading better and your motor might not have the HP to compensate.
Makes sense. Thanks. Doing a leak down test this week. Depending on the results I'll probably be adding some HP.

Are you sure it wasn't an a2 impeller not an a impeller?
Yup. Just had it pulled back off. Saw the stamp. Wasn’t refurbished very well I might add.
