Rudder Change (slight difference)

will there be much difference in steering, handeling between these 2 Rudders? They're both off Sangers. The slightly longer one is my original, which is bad.

Can you share why you want to change it? Most will say the more rudder in the water the better. They both need to be perfect though. You can end up with some squirrely handling if either of them has defects i.e. bends uneven surface... Looks like your original has some significant cavitation damage on the side shown.

always mag any used gear you're putting on, esp a rudder.

the shorter rudder should run a little quicker, assuming all things are equal.

The big change is between a trailing type rudder, More rudder behind center, Those are pretty close should not be that big of a difference
