In my life, I've met two D-Day survivors. Old men, and it's hard to fathom what they'd seen or who they were in their youth. Time may heal some wounds, but may never erase what you've seen or done.

Seen Sam Elliott in movies, but if I were him, that rendition of a hero's memoir is all I'd want to be remembered for.

I think Sam Elliot is one of the good ones. Walks over, shakes his hand and says, "Such an honor sir, God bless you."
