Engine - $40-80k depending on how fast you want to go and who builds it. Possible to spend more at a shop in Pasadena, but the wait is long.

Haven't owned one......................yet.
About 25 years ago, I was ready to move from jets, got the V-drive itch.
Didn't happen, moved on to outdrives.

This thread isn't helping........
Schiada's are pure water jewelry....

Wanted both bad.. timing...

I tried to buy that from Scott 10 years ago. Lol. I love it. Eye of the Tiger is straight rowdy. 2 seats. Not even a bilge pump. Lol. Made my 21RC feel like a turd. It will hurt some feelings. Lol.

looks like you are the new proud owner, congrats

At one point we had 4 Brummett 21’s in our park at the river (Rio Del Colorado) now just 2 left, mine and “Flying Colors”

Close to 10 out drive, 1 outboard, at least 4 V-Drive that I can recall, I asked Andy who worked for Carson and had hand in building all of them and he said 15-20......

I have owned my 22 since I was about 30. Need to download a picture of it on my computer. Of course it won't download it at the moment...

My 22 is my first boat. I have had it since 1996 or so.

I was 29 when I bought my 1974 '22 V-Drive back in 2006. It was an engineless Carcass when I picked it up and a good friend of mine and I through most of '06 and part of '07 worked nights and weekends putting it back together and getting it water ready and sea worthy. I grew up in Schiada's as that is the only Hull my parents have ever owned. Grew up going to the Schiada Shop in Gardena, CA in the 80's and peering into the fiberglass molds as a little guy.

I have enjoyed the '22 for many years up at Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Lake Havasu, Parker, Needles and right alongside my parents 1980 '22 which they laid up new and I grew up in and skiing and knee boarding behind.

I am 45 now and just purchased a '21 RC V-Drive with a Twin Turbo BBC.

The '22 is now For Sale .

Here is a few pics of both boats-my '22 of nearly 16 years and my freshly acquired TT '21.

Once you own a Schiada you won't want anything else...

Where are the pictures of the new boat??

Yours and your parents boat are very nice. Cool to still have the one you grew up on.
