Saw a 22' Daytona covered up , sitting on a drive way . Always liked them .
Left a note , to call me , if he wants to sell . Got a text later in day . Maybe if price is right .
1992 Stock 502, bravo 1 . Bimini stereo , says it runs in the low 80's. Had not been run in a couple years min.
Going to take a look this weekend . We want a bigger weekend parker strip boat , other then our CP .

Very little room without an outboard or two. That’s a wood floor boat back then so watch for rot. The old style hull had some issues with hop, they worked those out on the new style hull. I have both and the new style hull was a night and day better boat.

I think a 22 would be awesome on the strip. 80 sounds about right for a 502. I always thought they were about perfect for a river boat. Small enough to be a fun drivers boat, but big enough to handle some slop.

I had an 03, 496HO, ran 80MPH GPS , skied AWESOME, ran over everything up to 3'. It's a 4 person cockpit at MOST, and it's EXTREMELY difficult to get under the dash to the front. I miss it - best of both worlds - not too big, but will run with the big boats. If you can get a good price, DO IT

I bought a 1995 22’ Daytona new from Eliminator. If I remember correctly it had a 502 in it? Not much more room in it for passengers than your CP except maybe more under the deck to haul stuff to a beach. Had the Bravo 1, 1:50, and never saw 80 in it. It was a real nice boat but when we stepped up to a 25’ it was night and day better ride and had MUCH more room.

Thanks
Just wanted something a little bigger to Handel the strip chop better and still be faster then a sea do . not worry about a barge , sinking my Cp while anchored .

room I can care less. It has a Bimini and is quieter My wife and I and a couple old dogs. Will be the occupants .

price will be way under Covid price. If he stays off Craig’s list and rd’s. Lol

Find one with an outboard. Much more room in the cockpit, more efficient, faster, etc.

With a 300xs, it should break 90. Cruising in the mid 70s it will get 4 to 5mpg.

Isn't the 22 daytona with a 502/blackhawk combo a 90+ mph boat?
Blackhawk is a whole differentdeal and yes, 90 with a stock 502 is doable in a 22. Drive has virtually no slip, extremely efficient

Yes I would love to have a 22’ with a OB
Also not going to pay 50k for one
This is just a “hey there is a 22 ‘ sitting there with flat tires , that has not moved in 2/5 years . By the looks of it .
with a cover on it .

hmmm . And that’s a big hmmm
As we own 3 boats already
And barely can get use out of 2 of them
At least that’s what I heard last night . Lol
When the sales pitch started.

I’m-going tomorrow with a pocket full of cash and a portable compressor
And if there is no rot and it checks out good that cash will be pulled out of my pocket as fast as he can sign over The pink ....

To be continued
Further responses will be taken into account lol
Yes I live in so cal .

Yea. I have to say, an updated and beefed up Blackhawk would be a game changer. Imagine it behind a bad ass LS. 500hp, lite weight and FAST !

Idk the actual reason for them stopping production?

Boats had to be designed around them, completely different X dimension and in Eliminator’s case they made modifications to the rear of the hull, notches etc to make them work right. Manufactures weren’t willing to go through the trouble of modifying their molds

Why did some 22' have a somewhat round back transom and some had a square or normal back transom? Was it the year .

Round back versions with the vents are the newer hull design, 2012 or so they changed. Here are couple I have owned, old style / new style. The new style is a much better hull, roomier, ride better, feels and looks like a much bigger boat

I believe you’re thinking about the differences in the 21’ molds?

I'm thinking $20k would be the tops. I'd be more comfortable at $16k myself.

Sandblast and powder coat the trailer - $1200
Trailer lights, bearings, bunks, etc. -$700 in materials
Color Sand boat and fix blemishes - $1200
Patch up cover - $300
I'm guessing new interior - $5000-7000
I would check the floors for rot or soft spots
New gauges and misc. $1000
Service engine and drive $1000
New Batteries - $300

I’ll take first dibs on the CP or Cole if you need to make room in the stable. This way they’ll get used, and legged, on the lower river like the hot rods they were intended to be lol

what I was thinking 20 k at the most
I was going to hit him in the knees at 17k lol
But would settle at 20 k
Moot point if he Doesn’t to respond

I have a few friends that can handle a few things interior and cover
I can Handel all the other mechanical stuff .
and sand and cut and wax .
But have not heard back from guy
Don’t even have his name
Had a few long texts

should do a drive by and see if all of sudden , it vanished into the night ?
Considering it might be someone’s boat
it didn’t sound like it from the neighbor .
Sounds legit

Update
Received text this Morning .
Was busy yesterday, if you want to look at boat , you can today .

I'm thinking of going, take some pictures , check out all Info?

What are the odds , that eliminator made two exactly the same ?

Actually the odds are pretty good as Eliminator seemed to make many with the same design/colors back in that period of time. Not as many custom designs as in today’s world.
