Update
Received text this Morning .
Was busy yesterday, if you want to look at boat , you can today .

I'm thinking of going, take some pictures , check out all Info?

What are the odds , that eliminator made two exactly the same ?
Be sure to get a pic of the HID# and trailer license plate if needed for future investigation.

Actually the odds are pretty good as Eliminator seemed to make many with the same design/colors back in that period of time. Not as many custom designs as in today’s world.

thats what I was thinking
Some Boats in that era were duplicated

Seems like there are 100's of the blue / yellow San Diego chargers lighting bolt look around, that was all the rage back in the day.

Some Boats in that era were duplicated
I seen a couple 207s that were almost identical to mine but slight differences not much but barely enough to see wheter it was bimini or slight color changes in fades. But left hand steering wasnt a normal on everything then add motor drive combo 502 wasnt common in every boat vs the 454. 502 back then was like a baller status.Boats i seen close to mine as in almost same color either had right had steering or big block

Well after much debate with myself ,
I pulled the trigger , today.
20 k
Boat has not ran , for eight years . The owners have had it for 18 years .

Fresh gas, new batteries , prime some oil pressure ,
Bam that 502 starts up and idled . All gauges work , running lights , even interior lights , stereo .
Surprising the Daytona is in pretty good shape .
Needs some work and the usual . Some tires , wet sand cut and buff. And some wood , for interior . Hose here and there .
Now can I just fix the stuff that it needs . Or am I going full idiot , and boberize it?
Decissions decissions . Just going to fix the stuff that it needs for now.

My quest for a little bigger River boat . Has ended .

Thanks for the replys and answers .

Experiment with some compounds before you take sand paper to it. Might be surprising.

thanks
The gel coat. actually isn’t in that bad of shape
Going to hit with some compound first
Just a couple sections that were in afternoon sun
Are faded

awesome find @brgrcru !!! I wonder if there is a good vinyl conditioner you could soak those seats in for a couple weeks that might soften it up and just run it as is. Looks Just a little dried out but might be salvagleable for a few seasons.

Nice score! Congratulations! I have a guy to sand blast and spray the trailer for you. Just do minimal this season and the interior and major stuff do in October.

kind of thinking the same
Soak the material
Some wood needs to be fixed on seats
back seat for sure and engine hatch
Specifically the center piece needs work .
No rips or tears . Though

Didn’t get many pictures
But did a basic maintenance job
Change fuel filter
Change oil
Clean gas tanks
Change water pump impeller
New tires on trailer
Started waxing and cleaning up
Two new batteries
Bimini was in great shape
B57F35A9-0E8D-43F7-8BCC-65E84ABE8141.jpeg

Most Interior wood is a bad shape .
so building new bases
Going to try and save material ?
looks already a lot better
