Wife finally got some time off from work. At the last minute we couldn’t book Moab nor Sedona and friends say both locations dry camping were slammed like a festival.
So we headed to Lake Pleasant.
North of the lake has excellent staging and camping. The turnouts along Castle creek rd have been fenced off so ya pretty much have to use the staging area at Cow Creek.
Day one we hit some technical trails. Then for lunch we rolled to Scorpion Bay.
Funicular takes you down to the docks and covered slips:
