We rolled into Quartzite for a layover yesterday in route to Sedona.

About 2 miles east from the 95 on Plomosa rd is easy camping
No hosts this season.

Fuel stations along the I10 and in town all had long lines of vehicles headed home from the long weekend.

Moonrise last night then a lunar eclipse around midnight.

Quartzite looks like a normal years seasonal population. Flags, banners, RVs in the parks and out boondocking. Most the business open.

Today into Cottonwood Az.
Still a few trails to explore we missed on our last trip.

We filled up with fuel at the 76 on 95.
Truck started throwing codes, lost power and ran hot.
Bad fuel.
Fresh tank of fuel - now good to go.

Glad it was just bad gas. You have dealt with enough...

Have they fixed the issues you had before? Still going to lemon or is it yours for a while.

Heading home the truck went into walk mode. Though the DEF tank is full, it throws codes that it’s empty and goes into reduced speed and starts threatening us.

Wife had some family business to take care of in Vegas so we camped at Jean dry lake and sent the truck to the dealer.

Seven Magic Mountains close by. Limestone rocks placed by a Swiss Artist.
I like the color contrast against the desert - wife thinks it’s ridiculous.

Jumping Cactus.
Dog took off after a rabbit and brushed by a Jumping cactus.
Lucky for us it just clinged to her fur.
It’s no fairytale it’s bad stuff:

Seems if other camps see others actively gleaning trash their area is cleaner when their group departs.
Ally at it again:

Cholla, also known as the Teddy Bear Cactus.
We had some teenagers in the neighborhood that like to cut through the corner of our front yard and not care what kind of damage they do.
So I planted some of these in the area and they haven't been back.;)
