Sorry , Not much of a story teller but man this place is beautiful. I haven’t been out there before so can’t relate to if this was a crowded weekend or not. Sure felt like it though.

My wife has a bad back so it only limited us to a few trails before she had to tap out. Here are a few from our little adventure.

Beautiful hi-res pictures, thanks for sharing 👍 Wife and I haven't been there since 86', appears to have grown a tad. 😁

I was there a few weeks ago. It’s a beautiful place that the hippies and eclectic crowd have flocked to. The scenery is amazing and I see why the artsy folks migrate to it.

I had a good time except for one shady restaurant/bar...

Forgot my credit card when paying my tab at some boujie place that charges $25 for a burger. It was good but not $25 good.

I realize I left my card 20 minutes after we left. No big deal I’ll grab it after our jeep run later that day.

Couple hours later I walk back in and our waiter is playing dumb that he doesn’t remember me after I spot him and casually ask him for my card back.

He starts playing stupid...

Then I go into full “I’m gonna beat your ass in front of this packed restaurant” and the second I knuckle up on him and kill the vibe of the entire bar he suddenly remembers me and pulls my credit card out of his fucking pocket. Not the register but his pocket.

That shit can happen anywhere though so not a knock on Sedona.

This was the view from another restaurant & bar deck we ate and drank from. Stunning scenery...

Beautiful place. Let me jump in and show the Valley of Fire state park north of Las Vegas. Backside ends up along lake Mead.

Was it Butterfly burger? We went for a wedding a couple weeks ago and my collar was too blue for that place so we walked . Good mtn bike and off-roading there, I took the wife on a hike up a trail we’ve done on the bikes.

Beautiful place but the drive up the hill reminds me of driving to Vegas from SoCal - 75MPH bumper-to-bumper makes for an unpleasant drive

Saw a blurb on the TV last night about the residents getting a little hot under the collar about the invasion of SXS's up there. Won't be long before all that money sends them packing.

It's those with the loud aftermarket exhausts getting under residents skin.
If you're street legal and stock there's not much they can do .

BTW: The road from Cottonwood up to Jerome in a SXS is THE most fun run.

The only decent restaurants we found were in Clarkdale & Cottonwood.

The 805 our favorite.
Good food great service nice locals.

Bring the dog.
Server not only brought her a bowl of water but a comp’d plate of smoked bacon as well.

Love 805 but it is in Cottonwood. We go there to get away for a quiet weekend every so often.

Fkn thief should have been fired on the spot. I’m willing to bet, putting customer’s credit cards in their pockets is not the policy. Hopefully, everyone in there knows he’s a thief.

Every one knew the second he played dumb. Place came to screeching halt lol

All the credit cards go in the cash register. The manager was looking there while I was helping that prick remember clearly before he was gonna get torched. Fuck that guy.

Not sure how many realize that Schnebly Hill Rd. off the I-17 in Munds Park goes all the way into Sedona. It's rough and rocky the last 4-5 miles but a great SxS trip. Lots of folks trailer to the Schnebly exit and unload there.

Be sure to stop at the lookout before you start to descend down the hill into town. Its too rough and rocky (BIG rocks) for a car. Jeeps, 4 X 4 pick-ups no sweat.

It must be pretty beat up, 25/30 years ago I drove my 1988 grand marquis from the bottom to the top

Yea, I've done it in a low 2 wheel drive pick-up in the past. Now, its got big sandstone drops, big boulders and rock fields. I have a house up on top and we drive the Ranger down for dinner frequently. Its ~90 minutes in a Ranger.

We came back up the hill last August, coming back up at night, during a monsoon down-pour. It was crazy, waterfalls coming off of all kinds of stuff. Bright lightening all around us and thunderclaps so loud my wife got scared.

Must have been a memorable ride, We took that trail up to the gate around 4/5 mile mark .That’s where the pink keep tours were stopping too. Seen a couple areas that would have been epic to see water coming down.
Would like to do the full stretch but without the wife. She likes the short trips but I like just to be out there.
