Awesome pics! I fly out tomorrow through Thursday as I built a lot of parts for show builds via 3D printing including this console for the SEMA Garage WD40 Bronco build ( part that says “Built By Dinsmore”. Maybe we can meet for a beer....

Tan and white square body in first image is a friends from the Fresno area. It’s for sale. He has been known to come home with an empty trailer. Or no trailer or truck that pulled it over there!
Pretty cool to see! My buddy from high school built this truck. There is a ton of detailed metal work in making that cab, I've been following the progress for a year or two. I have dreamed of sending him my square body to bag, maybe one day
The guy that built/owns this VW lives in my neighborhood. I have stopped by a few times over the last few years he was building it. It looks like it has a V8 under the front hood, but actually has two 2276cc VW motors inline connected with a coupler. Tremic 5sp, Ford 9" rear end.

I just can't get over the huge lift / small tires that stick way out fad. I LOVE big lifted trucks, just can't do that wheels sticking way out / tiny tires. Reminds me of the mini truck fad of the late 80's / 90's, which I actually didn't mind on a mini truck. But a lifted truck?! I don't get it. Give me some 42" Super Swampers with max 20" rim and no adapters.

Yes, exactly. And yea, I agree, not bashing anyone for their taste. I just couldn't do it. That truck is bad azz. I dig it. Only thing I would do is run a set of 20" rims and do 42 or 44 tires with more meat and not have the rims stick out sooooooo far. Its funny you said it's been a craze in hawaii for decades. You're absolutely right. Dudes on the big island have been running that look on their Toyotas since the 90's!
been following some builds on youtube, wish i woulda gotten my shit together sooner and gotten passes to go this year. next year i gotta go for sure, never been.
The only difference is that here in Hawaii they don’t run as big of a rims. Still a mega lift with 15” wheels and 31” tires.
