At the risk of having my man card revoked, I'm gonna ask this; What is the go to electric razor for dudes? I've been shaving with a triple or quad pull type razor for 45 years, I should shave every day but don't, my beard is very coarse and I get about a dozen shaves outta a set of blades. Have tried a couple different electric's over the years but always come back to the pull type. I really like the look of the Braun electric but don't really want to spend $400. What's everybody using??

Phillips norelco one blade. It doesn’t get ya baby butt smooth but I also don’t seem to get super irritated like I do from those circle or cheese grater lookin ones. Plus it only takes like 5 minutes and done.

I went to a Braun 8 or 9 about two years ago. Not particularly impressed having come from a blade. I am still using it because it works and after spending the coin..... I would not make the change again. when it starts with issues I will go back to a blade.
For me, premium blades make a real difference.

Based on an older thread on RDP I have been using a Panasonic for about 4 years pretty happy with it. It works best if you shave every day. It does struggle with a 4 or 5 day covid growth. That one Phillips blade dealio looks interesting though.

Norelco has a good one, only sold on Amazon I think, little expensive but worth it.

I used a Norelco for years...make that decades.

I went back to a regular razor about 6 years ago.

The Norelco did a good job, but like was said above, you have to shave every day. 2 days at most.

I decided to try an electric for the convenience, so my wife gave me a Braun 8 for Christmas. It didn't take long to figure out it takes longer to shave with the electric, and the result isn't great. If I shave in the morning, by late afternoon I have a noticeable stubble.

I suppose I'll keep using it, because paying fifty bucks for a couple dozen blades is throwing away money. It's not like I have a job or other reason to have a close shave.

I don't like electric. Blades give a better shave. I'm only shaving once per week. Every Sunday. An electric wouldn't work for this routine.
