We went out Friday on Havasu with Shore Hitch and a few other boats to shoot some media for them with Tommy Gun and his crew. Awesome day of boating with some new friends and the Shore Hitch family. I really love the product and what they represent. It is super light, looks great and works good. Fernando and his wife(owners of Shore Hitch) are great people also. It was a really cool experience with my family.

Cool pics and video. Does it function the same as a shore spike?
Yes it does. Super easy to use at the sandbar and wet sand. Little harder to get in the dry, hard sand but my kids can still use it and it’s half the weight of the other spike.

RDP is the perfect market audience for these things, it does the same thing as shore spike but its more shiny and more expensive then the boat next to them, so its a must have...lol...

I'm just curious how long the anodizing will last on that aluminum since its sole function is to be hammered into abrasive materials to hold the boat in place.

Shore spike is galvanized and roughly casted steel because its to serve a function not as a status symbol.

I'd still buy one if I had fu money burning a hole in my pocket. Then durability don't matter either.

I have a Shore Spike and I just picked up a Slambrella this summer which I really like. Those Howard ones look super nice, except they come with the Howard Price Tag

Does anybody make an auger version?

I have the extra large shore spike, and when I pound that thing in, it’ll make my ears ring.

I have both. Just trying to promote a family business that I like.

There is scratches in mine after a couple uses but that’s in the sand. Can’t see them when in use. Awesome product from awesome people!

I have a couple of slide anchors and now a shore hitch. We r going to do a side by side comparison here soon.

As for fancy I’ll be comparing my polished stainless slide anchor to the shore hitch.

My .02. I have a slide anchor have had it for prob 10 years. It’s beat but works. I am interested in the shore hitch. I am into the family owned small business cause that’s what I am. If people didn’t give me a shot I wouldn’t be anywhere. Small issues such as scratching will happen. But that’s the same thing as polished stainless getting dull going into the sand. I’m gonna try the slide next season and if there are any issues I’ll contact the company and tell them where I see the flaws and maybe what I can think of to make it better or easier and let them build off that info. Being in manufacturing myself I love feedback because my goal is to be better and deliver a better product than what I feel we already do. Quality is everything.
