Anyone notice all the bags of ice are smaller now? The 20lbs are now 16-17 lbs everywhere we have bought ice but still the same price.

Yep. Went from 20 and 10 lbs at our local store to 16 and 8. Plus they raised the price. Seems this is our future.

We use Technice sheets for most of our cooler needs. Wife absolutely has a thing about mot wanting to pay for frozen water at a store😄

Just throwing this out there, but McDonalds is the best deal around for ice…….. $1.46 per 8lb bag.

They put an ice vending machine next to the top of the launch ramp in Huntington Harbor.
I was checking it out yesterday . . . $4.00 for 8 lbs. ! F-that.

TIP- Mix up a 1/4 cup of salt with a 1/2 gallon of water, shake it up well and pour in to small water botttles / containers and seal .
Freeze them . . . then throw them in the bottom of your cooler BEFORE you add ice.
It'll make your regular ice last quite a bit longer. (basically poor-mans cooler shock/yeti ice etc.)

Mark them w/ an 'S' so you don't drink them by accident.
