Thank you and yes it's a fun day. The guy behind us in the 4th pic is doing the Pacific Crest Trail to Canada with 5 others, said 5-6 months..

Wow. How awesome would that be.

Do you have a better map of where you started and where the trail ends? Is the road mostly a fire road or does it get advanced?

If you staged at Silverwood, either at the campground on the west side or around by the damn, which they call Pilot Rock Staging. I am guessing you took Pilot Rock truck trail 2N33 up to Deep Creek. Pinnacles staging area is accessible on that route also. There is a great single-track trail for motorcycles that goes right from the Silverwood Lake campground, up Burnt Mill Canyon through forest, canyons, streams, etc.. Miller Canyon staging can be accessed by truck and trailer and has plenty of UTV accessible trails from there. You can actually get all the way over to Big Bear from there. It's a long trip, but doable.

This area is my favorite ride. I have done it several times in early winter, with some snow on the ground. You can actually get all the way up to Cedar Glen and go to the Malt Shop for a burger. Great day round trip. Done that ride dozens of times. Gasoline in town also. If you drive/ride respectfully, I have never had a problem going on road to gas station.
