We saw one walking home last night, cute little bugger. My girls wanted to take him home.

No idea!

I'm telling the wife the door was open - she's convinced there is a hole in the house and she can't be here anymore !

you may need this:

Mix the following:

1 quart 3 percent hydrogen peroxide.
1/4 cup baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
1 teaspoon liquid soap or dish detergent.
Mix these together and bathe ("shampoo" in or rub down) the spray victim thoroughly.
Be sure to use this mixture immediately after it is created, as it is unstable.

He ran into the kitchen and I thought we had him trapped - I turned my head to get a chair and he was gone!

It looks like he found a small seem between two cabinets and climbed up in.

We don't think there is any way out so the only alternative now is to set a trap and hope he climbs out.

Shit!

So i'm in the garage with my wife who is scared to death. After 30 minutes or so I go inside to check the trap. I noticed right away the cat food container has been moved and I'm excited. I pulled the blanket back thinking I'm going to see the skunk. Only to find that the blanket has been trapped in the door and it didn't allow the door to close.

Now the skunk has either climbed back in the cabinet full and happy and going to bed for the night or squirted out around the side of the blanket it is somewhere else in my house?

Well, I have got say; this thread really changed the trajectory of my afternoon. It was just a dreadfully boring day running data from the last summer. I am now smiling and laughing (with not at) this whole incident. I would not laugh at as I live in the country and things like this are a very real possiblility at my house.

So far only one snake has made it inside. That was "interesting" especially after it made it up under second fridge.

Our lab has had a full spray - I think I got a little burst.

The animal gal says the trick to getting them out of a corner is to hold the tail down - they don't like to spray themselves.

When he ran through my legs in the hallway he had his tail down and was running - so not a full on spray.

But the house stinks now and I'm just getting to the point of grabbing the fucker and throwing him out the front door!

Film It! lol

I tried the first time I thought we had him - but that blurry shot is all I got when that thing headed straight towards me!

Gee somehow my camera skills went right out the window when I thought I was about to be the old lady in the Griswold Christmas story when the raccoon or what ever that was jumped out of the Christmas tree !

You'd probably get bit if you grabbed it and have to undergo rabies shots. Just shoot the little fucker.

if you have been sprayed, you will not get a room. There is no way you are getting enough of it off in that amount of time for them to let you in.

A buddy of mine's dog got it in his back yard 2 years ago. they sent him home from work two days later because he still smelled too strong.

That't what I would do. Skunks may be cute, but my 22 is cuter :thumbsup

Shooting it sounds easy enough and if we were outside someplace that's what would happen.

But besides being in such close quarters in the hall way - that darn thing skirts around pretty quickly!

This ranks right up there with Hooligan vacuuming up the keys on his keyboard. [emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji322][emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji322][emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303]
