A little while ago there was a thread about a smart phone app that people were using on trips to detect speed traps and other stuff.

Did a couple of searches without any luck.

Can anyone remember the name of the app or find the thread?

Pretty sure that it was a Dylan (WhiteWorks) thread. Try finding him then look up threads started by him.

It's called "what a piece of shit worthless app".
It was fuzz something or other, and since it had to rely on user input, has horrible live updates, and had to get rid of the checkpoint feature, it's shit.

or tripster I beleive its called. when you see a cop or radar you tell your app about it, this is visable to everyone else with the app

It's Waze. I loaded it after his thread and have pretty much switched to it for all my navigation.

As far as I know, its the only free GPS Navigation app with voice turn by turn directions aside from Google Maps app.
I've uninstalled Google Maps from my phone because of it. Google Maps was draining my battery in an hour. Waze is much better on the battery.
