Hey all, i need a little input on this. I have a 10 year old merc 300x with only 200hrs. on it. Everytime i re start it up after floating, skiing, whatever the exhaust smokes bad for a minuet or so and then it clears up. I appreciate your thoughts in advance!

What fuel and oil are you running. Octane and quality of oil make a big difference on smoke at restart. If you are running the good stuff you may have a reed issue.
