Hey all, i need a little input on this. I have a 10 year old merc 300x with only 200hrs. on it. Everytime i re start it up after floating, skiing, whatever the exhaust smokes bad for a minuet or so and then it clears up. I appreciate your thoughts in advance!

What fuel and oil are you running. Octane and quality of oil make a big difference on smoke at restart. If you are running the good stuff you may have a reed issue.

We are runnin 91 octane and merc premium plus oil.

Drive Bye, post this in the lounge as well, might get some tech help.. if it was me I'd call Rob clark at Quality Performance, you can get there # on the left side. This guy is the outboard master if you ask me.
