Hate JP all you want, I also think he is a DB and was hoping Nate would just choke him out.....but all those people on that card got paid because of him including Diaz...also, look at his form its not perfect but for a guy that just put on the gloves 3 year ago he'd got some talent....agreed that he should take on a boxer of his age and weight to determine his actual skill though.

All I know is that after the fight JP's face was a little red but wasnt swollen at all. I never saw Diaz throw a bunch with any real meat behind it. WWE of boxing in my opinion. Diaz took the money and smiled all the way to the bank.

Anyone that says JP has not helped boxing, is not trying to earn a paycheck in boxing....not only the fighters, but promoters, pay-per-view and tv people...everyone is getting paid otherwise you would have been watching no sports on Sat... JP is doing exhibition style stuff.... same way Floyd is doing exhibition style stuff and earning a paycheck. Floyd, nor JP are the reason boxing is dying as a sport...only hope is this interest can lead to more talented contenders...You can arguably count on one hand the people I would want to see fight... T Crawford, T Fury, O Usyk, N Inoue, C Alvarez, and G Davis... In UFC there are more than 30 fighters of interest that I watch and track regularly... ..At least JP brings eyes to the sport....more eyes, more earning opportunities are good. That recent T Crawford vs E Spence fight was the first time in a long time two of the greatest fighters got to fight each other in both of their primes....

That's funny as hell!

All I'm saying is you talk a lot of smack about a dude that's willing to go in a ring and fight, maybe you should do the same? 🤷‍♂️

I understand where you are coming from. At 43 years old I have nothing to offer the sport of boxing other then being a fan that would be willing to pay good money for a PPV professional boxing match with belts on the line. What I'm not willing to do is pay good money to watch a retired MMA fighter box a YouTube influencer who calls out people like Canelo Alvarez when he was out boxed by the only real boxer he has ever faced in Tommy Fury. I'd be intrigued to see a rematch with Fury or another boxer with his age/height/weight and experience or maybe even a little more experience than him. I will give him credit for boxing and putting in the work, but he has no business calling out true professionals like Canelo Alvarez. JP loses credibility and so does the sport when he does that, it would be nice to see him take the sport seriously instead of his publicity stunts. Say he fought a professional boxer and he became a vegetable or worse? Then what? Is it going to be fun then?

Let’s just say for arguments sake I chose to step into the ring with no previous boxing experience or maybe a few years of training like JP. You wouldn't catch me calling out big time boxers or retired MMA fighters. I'd be fighting true boxing opponents making a name for myself in the sport trying to win a belt. Isn't that the goal of professional boxers?

Don't be nieve, the goal is to make the biggest payday possible, nobody cares about a belt. Money and Vegas has destroyed most sports. Traditional boxing will never be a thing again because it just doesn't draw a crowd.

I have never watched JP fight a day in my life, but saw he was fighting Nate Diaz and was like "that looks cool".......paid for the PPV and had fun watching it. Jake Paul looked to be in good shape and definitely takes boxing seriously. At the end of the day, he is a brand and that is it. He saw an opportunity with boxing, talked some shit, had some fights and is laughing all the way to the bank.

I’m not naive, I’m well aware it’s all about the money. It doesn’t mean I have to go along with and just accept it. I watched the fight against fury and made up my mind about him as a boxer after that fight.

It’s not entertaining to me… he’s as real as WWE…
