Nice!
I've got a K3 and out of the 8 motorcycles I own it's my absolute favorite. The neighbors and people that live on my route to get my weekend morning coffee probably think I'm an idiot but I don't care. I smile everytime I ride it!!

Had a gold one when I was a kid, sold it to my neighbor for 350 bucks in 1975 wish I kept it...rode it all the time.

Great pit bikes back in 70/80's. Later won a pair of Honda Spree scooters :p, but favored my trail 70 and the little Honda 100 street bike. Wish I had kept those and many other toys looking back.

This seem like a pretty good deal.

1969 Yamaha Trailmaster
Bike runs great with extremely low miles (580) everything is original on it everything works only thing it’s missing is the headlight switch, bill of sale only.

Ill send my dad a link to this thread. He just picked up 2 Trail 70's to restore and a '73(?) YZ250 that still has all the original turn signals and everything.

Learned how to ride on one of those!
Yep, me too. My first bike was a 68 exactly like the red one for sale. Worked all summer in 73 and saved the $150 I used to pay for it. I was 13 and didn’t tell my parents. I grew up right next to LAX and got caught by a motor officer ridding the bike along the railroad tracks adjacent to Aviation Bl. just North of Century. The cop had it impounded and my parents had to get it back. I took a beating over the incident..

Where are you guys finding parts for these bikes? I’m buying my 1977 yz400 back from a friend l sold to years ago. It needs fork seals and fork boots at a minimum. It has been stored in his garage for years.

It’s amazing what’s available on eBay. Under search, type in bike year, model and “NOS”. Literally 100s of new old stock parts available for my 67.

You’ll need to look at what ever you’re buying closely though. Match it carefully to the old part before buying. Some sellers make mistakes (really don’t know exactly what they have) and list their parts incorrectly. I learned the hard way..

I have restored quite a few trail 70s. Some parts are hard to find. I have bought 1000s of dollars of parts from https://www.tbparts.com/product-category/ct70/ I know most of the parts are made in china but I have always had good luck with them and have only had a couple parts I wasn't real happy with but they still did the job they were made to do. Just an option when you can't find NOS.

Nice. had one in about 78 or so. First bike had an XL100, then went to the XL175 and then first year 1980 got me a brand new XL 500 so I could ride to school soon as I got my permit.

Family friends had a couple of those Honda trail 70s and 90s growing up, rode the crap out of those. Later my mother had one of the trail 110s so she could ride with us on desert roads.

But really don't need more projects. I go see what they really are if somebody wants them.

Growing up my Dad would take my brother and I to Indian Dunes on the weekends, at the entrance to Indian Dunes I would hide in the camper so my Dad didn't have to pay for me. Anyway, all my friends had XR75's, RM80s,YZ80's etc.. When those two strokes came out it was game over for the XR75. I was stuck riding my 69 CT70. I rode the wheels off of it (at least in my mind). I think I harbor some feelings over this because I think I could've done well racing. But there I was, stuck with a CT70.
