Damn, I haven’t been up in that neck of the woods in a while but that’s the lowest I think I’ve ever seen it.

Not to mention how eerie it looks with all the smoke in the air.

She said the smoke is better today. Hopefully they will get those fires under control!

Not Bridge Bay, that is Holiday Harbor on the McCloud arm. Shasta Caverns are hidden in the smoke across the lake in the background.

Pics below are Bridge Bay, taken Saturday. First is the view looking south, second looking east (note the Bridge). The water was last at this level (154 feet down) in 2014, I believe the lowest ever was in 1977 or so at 238 feet down. The smoke this weekend was horrible as there are fires in every direction. We need rain.

Another California lake that has been DUMPED in order to continue the narrative.

So should they just turn off the tap?

In years of normal precipitation, it stores and distributes about 20 percent of the state's developed water — about 7 million acre-feet —through its massive system of reservoirs and canals. Water is transported 450 miles from Lake Shasta in Northern California to Bakersfield in the southern San Joaquin Valley.

Everytime I hear people say I hope it don’t rain I think of this kind of shit.

Only in California will you hear people say such a stupid thing.

Everyone I hang out with in CA says = we need the rain. Used to be we wanted it only during the week and not on the weekend, now it is rain, don’t care what day of the week.

If there was a lake on Mars that's what it would look like, screw that place!

Is the old bridge out of the water? My buddies dad drug the drive over it once.

So how many red sticker dirt bikes does it take to equal that amount of wild fire smoke pollution? Perhaps rather than restricting dirt bike registration they should ban wild fires.

Ban wildfires...

So ban lightning? Storms? Rain? Power lines?

Now why hasn't someone thought of That yet!?!

I have no idea what California is going to do for water next summer? All the weather nerds are saying there is going to be another La Niña so we’re likely to have another dry winter with little snow pack. Guess we need to start another bullet train project to Desert Center or somewhere, lol. Is Newsome still Governor?

Yes, They should turn off the tap...or at least down.
Aside from the enviro dumping California is exporting our water.

Looks pretty low. In 1979, due to low water affecting the availability to reach the water supply, the Mountan Gate water district moved the water intake from Bass Mountan and placed it on the island, siphoning directly from the Sacramento arm of the Lake. You could walk to the island. That's how bad it was then.

That’s pretty normal given the lack of rain. We are regulars there.

They let a lot of water out of that lake into the Sacramento River which is a major river. There are three different rivers that merge into one. They keep the Sacramento River flowing all year.

Coupled with the lack of rain the last two years. This is what you end up with.

I was there on vacation about 7-8 years under the same circumstances and it looked just liked that. It was down 120 feet then

Hope we get rain

I heard a rumor that California has been literally dumping the water into rivers to "cool them down" because the river water was too warm and it was affecting the salmon or some shit like that?? I know they have been messing with the water to save the Delta Smelt for years, but this salmon thing is a new one to me and it would make sense. There is literally NO REASON these lakes should be so dry after over flowing, just a couple years ago.

Remember when Lake Oroville was overflowing and the spillway was failing? Do you think the idiots can fix it now during the drought? Probably not?
Phuck NO, they're paying the welfare people to have more offspring!!!!

I would estimate that it would take about a trillion.
