You know the old saying, "No matter how hot they are, somebodies tired of listening to their shit"... oops, see someone beat me to that. Great site Dave... only one I'm on.... great Covid Relief Package with all this time on my hands. I'd enjoy knowing what is currently the best response you've come up with for dealing with those upset gals at DS?

kinda depends on the situation, but when I’m working desert storm I’m in total Carney mode.. tents up buckets out, so I usually try to show them the latest women’s rdp gear and take that passion and turn it into dollars.. lol. :D

I've been on several boating forums, starting w/Hotboat and then other, now RDP. I enjoy the boating content and other stuff the forum provides. The wife couldn't care less. I have yet to meet anyone personally, though that could change as I'll be making more lake trips next year and beyond.

I think is the closest description of the reason I come here too. Wifey has always known about it, but can't say shit since she and her friends are on FB. I think before FB, then yes, she shook her head in disbelief.

I went to a barber shop for 20+ years. The kind of place where you went in, guys talked shit to each other, there was a fist fight here and there over exchanged words, and they cut your hair for $8. In the middle of the barrio, too. Sadly, Covid took out my barber of 20+ years, and most recently, the owner of the shop who cut hair for 50-years, died of Covid. I sat next to him not more than 60-days ago and he told me to take my mask off; didn't need that shit in his shop...

Anyways, my hair is longer than it's ever been because the new "barber shops" are not barber shops at all. They want to shave you, give you a "fade", charge you for beers and you need to make an appointment. An appointment, W-T-F? $30-$40, double WTF. So I guess true barber shops have gone by the wayside. I'm gonna miss that place.

So now, more than ever, RDP is my hangout.
You're just old and have no friends in real life.
:p

There was an old timer Mexican barber in Parker that used to love going to when I lived there about 12yrs ago, dont know if he's still there. He didn't speak a lick of english but $10 got you a haircut and he did your edges with a straight razor. I always gave him $20

Sounds like Chuey's barber shop.

Tapatalk is all I use, unless I’m posting ads, then I use my laptop. So for those of you who don’t have Tapatalk. Here’s what the thread preview looks like. It usually pics the last picture posted, not always though. Sometimes it’s random.

Never fucking fails, anytime I’m scrolling RDP. One of the good morning threads pops up. I literally never even open those threads. Then I get the “who is that? How long are gonna look at her?” I’m like wtf. Never understood the obsession of looking at or posting random pics of chicks, chicks you’re never going to meet. I can’t imagine what the thread starters wives think when they look at their hard drive. Anyhow that thread gets me more grief than anything I do on my phone. I can straight up watch porn and she’s good with it. Chicks in bathing suits, she must figure we know them and she gets pissed.

The Ex never really understood why I would tear up when we lost a good person or somebody was in a very bad situation. At the same time on the opposite end when I laughed out loud or wore a big smile from all who have shared she was puzzled.
This is not facebook or instagram bullshit or whatever else is out there.

Show her Thong Thursday.......Camel Toe Tuesday.. she will understand at that point.

It's funny you should mention that. Awhile back my old lady walks up behind me and asks what I'm reading and I say river daves forum boards. She says what's that, I begin to explain then she she's a post about porn hub. She says boating related yea right!!!👌

To me, RDP is a brain trust of knowledge, camaraderie, healthy debate, up to date River and Lake newsflashes and so much more as described above. Yet, RDP is also a place of unconditional empathy and random acts of kindness for a group of inmates bound by the love of boating.

I reflect back on the Kobe Bryant accident thread. Pictures from the scene posted by inmates in the area, the brain trust of pilots describing FAA laws. What probably happened based on their experience in the chair. None of which could not be found anywhere on the news. I was astonished by the details posted here. The same can be said for inmates falling on hard times brave enough to share their story. I would like to think the Prayers Sent, Godspeed, respondents sharing their story, help fellow inmates get through a tough period in their life. Very cool.

Really off the top of my head, I cannot think of a thread that did not receive quality responses (except the dungeon) from the resident brain trust that frequent this joint. No other place on the net I rather be to stay informed while learning how to restore a 1979 Shiada from the bottom up . I hope the atmosphere here never changes.

I show my wife the good morning thread on a pretty consistent basis. I always show her and then ask her what she thinks of one that I think is super hot and ask if there is a chance.

The answer is always no. Lol

I keep trying though.
