So I’m going to go out on a limb because I’ve earned the title and ask the question. How many of the cyber boaters on here are actually going to write a check for a new boat before the Libs fuck everything up? I get tons of boating questions on performance ,reliability, endurance, practicalness, maintenance, warranty, but deep down I wonder who will actually do anything about it? I feel like there’s a whole lot of keyboard pushing and not check writing? Support the industry !!!!!! The future is here! Outboards are taking over! Go to church! The Outboard church! LOL Trust me actually being on the water and pushing the throttle is much more fun than pushing a stupid ass keyboard! Don’t get me wrong. I love RDP. But post the pictures of your boating content. Your life boating experiences! YOUR new build in The From The mold section. Bring it !!!!
A few weeks back. Morning rip over over 80 miles. Back on the trailer before 9am. Burned only about 14-15 gallons averaging 75-80mph. Love my outboard 300xs powered 22' Cougar MTR!
I don’t have the funds to write a check for one, but we will probably be making some changes before next summer and getting into a new boat. In the meantime though I’m just fixing my current ones up little by little. This morning getting sea deck installed in the Hallett swim step.
Hey bully we want to live life thru you! Did you ever get a top Speed on that new bass boat? Sweet plane by the way! You win the selfie game! I don’t have a bass boat but used mine last week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would if I could. Takes a lot of $$$$ to build a $150k boat, run it for a bit, sell it, build a $300k boat, run it for a bit, sell it, build a $400k boat, run it... rinse and repeat. More power to yah brother, nothing but respect...well, maybe a little jealousy.
Nope...learned my lesson last go around. Boat is paid for and savings is in a much happier place with hopes the libtards fuck everything up so I can buy rentals cheap. If you got the flow and a high net worth by all means spend it....I could pay cash for a new boat but don't have enough to throw away on a depreciating asset and still hit my retirement plans.
Last time out. All good, serviced and ready to go. We talked about upgrading our river boat but decided against it. A new boat isn’t going to improve our family boating experience, so why spend the money. We are looking at changing venues down the road and will likely make a much larger investment at that time. Not worried much about the liberals.
Sunday, looks like top number with the SCX is 109, light on fuel and cool weather, my slip number sucks. 6100 rpm stock 30 bravo. Ya that was me making all that noise around 10 out in front of Windsor
I think Bully's point is get out there and run those boats. And post pics and video of actual boating. Have fun and share it.
That was kind of the way I read it. That and buy a new boat you cheap fuckers was kinda mixed in there. Lol
Havasu to Laughlin about a month ago. Last weekend ran from Havasu marina to springs to topock for lunch back to the marina.
Ok. This is from Oct. 13th Ok, if you say so. Sure was a long road to a little house. Here’s a pic from October 13th, might go out this weekend as well.
That's awesome mileage at speed. I may get around a mile a gallon cruising at 4k rpm. Makes me wonder how possible it would be to convert my 34' Scarab over to outdrives......but then again, I would need 4 outdrives push boat so there goes the savings. Nevermind
My boat is slow but she gets some use... When I'm not hanging off the side of someone else's much nicer float LOL
Wrote my check earlier this year. Put it in the water for first time on the 7th of June. Last time out was the 27th of October. Engine has 96 hours on it. Not too shabby I'd say.
No new boats in our future. I wouldn’t bet against a switch to the church, just can’t justify writing the check and I’m not a fan of payments. Hoping to pick up a Havasu place in the next 6 mos and have a rebuild coming up on the 525’s. Good news is we got on the water quite a bit this year. Packed in 3 trips to close the season. (Billy B’s, Monster Storm and RDP regatta). Switching gears, dropped off the Can Am yesterday to get the Radius Rods and A-arms uprgraded. Looking forward to a safe off season.
The wife likes to cruise the channel only if it’s empty, LOL. If there too much traffic she’s out. I wrote the check(ok it was only the down payment but whatever) on a new to us boat this year.
Best callout thread ever!!! I wonder the same thing while scrolling this "boating" forum. Not everyone needs a new boat every year but there is definitely more talk of supporting the industry rather than actually supporting it. Boating is my passion and my lifestyle not just a hobby that I talk about online. Oh and my check cleared by the way lol. #newboatsmatter
The not so new but new to me that I’m still writing checks for hahahahaha! Hated missing the all boat regatta but had an epic first season with more to follow! Just a few from this year. From Desert Storm to lake Powell challenge and some candid fun in between!
I'm hoping all of you go out and order shiny new boats...pontoons, decks...freakin' landing crafts. My belief is in the concept of "trickle down economics". If all of you buy new stuff, the market will be flooded with old stuff. When the market is flooded, the prices stay lower This, in turn, allows us "Po' Folk" to keep playing! Now, for all here, think about this: @Headless hula in 11 months has burned a house, rebuilt another house, made a trip and worked in Florida, another sprint to the Bahamas, did a transom on his boat, installed a bigass wacker on his boat....and still logged more hours on that same boat than most of us did. Oh, and that shit freezes over up there! So, in effect, we are all lazy ass bums out west...or he has a hell of a caffeine adiction...or a combination there of
If I ever a scratch a check for a brand new boat again it sure as fuck won't have egg beaters hanging off the back of it.
Bring on the 100mile days! This year this boat has been to: Avalon Harbor 10ish times 2-Harbors Twice Long Beach Harbor for the 4th fireworks Santa Cruz Island Ventura to Santa Barbara Lake Piru Lake Elsinore a few times Pudingstone 5ish times Parker 3x Havasu 4x Powell And that doesn't count the 40 hours of breakin / setup with the ski race boat...
Too damn cold here in North Idaho to be running now. And if I'm ever going to hit my retirement numbers a new boat isn't in the cards. We did put 50+ hours on the boat between late April and Labor day.
