SoCal Today ... Barron Boats !!

Got out today and hit some of the local shops to see what's happening ... first on the list was Barron Boats! Jerry was kind enough to grant me access to the back and Frank showed me around. Very nice facility ...

The new deck is curing nicely and should be out of the mold and put together with the next two weeks ...

Once this one is out, they are going to start another !

Here's the deck mold plug ...

Bad Aztec (@Slats ) rotary deal, bitchin air dryer system, state of the art blue air lines plumbed throughout the shop. It’s killer!
He understands the air compressor and system is the heart of any boat shop, and he spared nothing to make sure his shops heart is strong

You should see some of the air systems at some of the larger wineries. They use pnumatic (sp?) systems to crush, sort, convey grapes and all. We service quiet a few very large screw and rotary compressors with separate multi-stage air dryers and such. They can be very extensive and expensive systems.

Talked to Jerry a couple of days ago. As you can see, boat #1 is out of the mold. Jerry now has an in-house upholstery guy (very experienced hot rod guy). Still a lot of work to do but very possible water trials to begin in September.

Easy now ... I was by there Monday ... Jerry said one more week before "pix time" to get it all shiny and such ... the new in-house staff put a smile on his face (which is a rarity)
