The engine in my vector has been moved forward about 61/4 inches jus noticed this as I am making new mounts. I’m assuming it must have had a N/A motor in it when new and someone put a blown 502 in and must have changed placement.

Question. Why. For better handling at speeds??

Not sure how your Vector will perform with the engine forward like that, but I run mine closer to the transom to help carry the bow, in my 21' Howard. However the GN guys seem to run the engines forward.

I would leave it there. They probably moved it forward to make more room for the pulleys when they put the blower motor in. And I think it will handle better with it up a little more. Also probably easier to work on.
