Thanks. Boats are both running great and getting a decent amount of use this season.
The location in these pics is actually Canada. It's called the freighter channel and is the St Clair River that connects Lake Huron to
Lake St Clair. We are anchored on Seaway Island across from Basset Island. The water is crystal clear. pretty much all around this area of Lake St Clair.

serious question, do you take your passport? I was just in Canada for work and man they searched the heck out of us

No.
If I was to cruise through the channels that are more surrounded by Canadian territory I’m sure they would stop me. But I’ve never even seen an OPP boat checking anyone parked where we go. That island is uninhabited.

I finally put on a Place Diverter. Works pretty nice, just need to cover the pump wiring a little better.

Nothing like a little Covid to get the project back on track. [emoji12]. Can’t wait to see the final outcome.

My son, Spectramitch, cnc’d SPECTRA onto my steering wheel center button. I think it came out pretty sweet. Good job 👍

Yes there are Spectra's in the north. I have a 1978 24'XS V-drive in Northern Ontario. I run the North Chanel of Huron over to the Georgian Bay quite a bit. I bought my Spectra from a marina in Northern Mich. in 1992. The boat came new from the dealer in Mt. Clemens MI. you mentioned. Also have a Connolly Ski Bum up here. Not many V-drive day cruisers this way. Pretty unique up here. They always get the looks.

I would love to plan a trip up to Georgian Bay. It looks like an awesome place to boat.

I seem to have this Place Diverter working pretty smooth now. The switch/shift knob is also sweet.

How many MPH did you pick up now that you can get her out of the water a bit?

I don't know. I haven't GPS'd it yet. I was out today and having the buttons in my hand at all times is nice. I was cruising and came up on a decent wake, I bump the down switch and put the bow down a bit and what a difference on how the boat reacts.

I'm just waiting for the Canadian border to open. I live in Florida Nov-May and head north for the other 6 months. The North Chanel of Lake Huron is some of the best cruising grounds in the world. Tons of uninhabited islands with beaches. Crystal clear water. Must have good GPS and charts though. Lots of rocks and shoals. Hope you can make it up. Love your boat by the way. Did you have the gel redone in Michigan?

It's paint and the guy advertised through craigslist. He worked from his garage.

Do you live in the U.P.? Are refering to the area north east of Mackinac Island? If you had some pics of boating there and could post them , that would be great to see.

My summer home is in Blind River Ontario located between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury ON. About 100 mi east of the Soo. I have boated all through the straights of Mackinaw, into Lake Michigan, all the way down to Traverse City. Spent many a night at Mackinaw Island and all the way back through the Les Cheneaux Islands and on into Canada. Also boated up through the chain of lakes from Oden MI Crooked Lake, Burt Lake Mullet Lake and out into Huron at Cheboygan MI. So I am very familiar with Michigan and Northern Ontario waters. I have also boated in Lake Superior from Terrace Bay ON out to the Slate Islands. But my favorite area is still the North Channel of Lake Huron. My 1978 24 XS Spectra V-drive is a great boat for getting out there and over nighting. Picture is in the Benjamin Islands, North Channel Lake Huron near Little Current.
