I don't like the push for mediocracy to be labelled as something special. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has their tastes however, there is actually many studies on what Americans and most European civilized countries view as beautiful and as you'd guess, it's your typical model build and look. Eyes, nose, ears semitry, fit body, youth, etc. For whatever reason, THAT is what the vast majority of people from all around the world believe is the bar. Lowering expectations to cater to a niche crowd is just virtue signaling and those used as a pawn for big corporations agenda, is just sad.

Is Elon Musk's mom beautiful. I think so. Is she young, fit and deserves to be on Sports Ilustrated? No, I don't think so. Is the heavy chick pretty? Sure. Does she deserve to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated? No, "sports" kinda lost on those that are not fit and don't take care of themselves. Is Kim Kardashian pretty? Sure. Should she be on the cover of Sports Illustrated? No. She's a waste of a human (just my .02 as I detest those that are famous for being famous and offer ZERO to society). The marketing folks ever since advertising became a thing have programmed us to think of a certain look as the chosen one.....last 300 years have programmed us to feel a certain way and see things a certain way.... Similarly in the last 10 years big butts are a thing.... more muscular ones, not yardsales...but in 80's and 90's you could not find a muscular behind in print or ads...today's muscular instagram models are much more sought after than the thin, no butt fem types of yesteryear.....Advertising is a power thing, literally mind control...if people only show one thing you will like one thing...

Similarly if look back to the renaissance age Italian artists used to more often paint of rubenesque women and not thin ones...bigger women were more popular at that time, why ....cause painters made them the object of desire...
