I spend most my time at south cove but my birthday is the end of the month so wanna stay a couple days. I've stayed at temple and had a good time. Have a 2 year and a 6 month old so not planning on camping. What say thee for the ones whove stayed at both?

Both are good. Just depends on if you want to boat at Mead or Mohave.

I prefer Cottonwood Cove, the casino in searchlight is only 20 minutes away. Either one for me is about 75 miles to drag my botë.

Temple Bar's launch ramp may be a factor depending on the size of your boat and current water level. Lake Mead is at 1086 today. Last I launched it was 1120 ish. NO problem then. (Squirt botë)

I wouldn't waste your time with Temple Bar because of this whole covid-19 it's almost impossible to get a room there once somebody checks out they take 24 hours to go in and clean the room and then they have to let it set for another 24 hours before they consider even renting the room out we're going the week of August 17th but we're using a friend's mobile home out there we tried to get rooms but you can only get a room for like a day or so at a time with all the cleaning bull crap going on

We did a vacation Sunday to Friday at Temple Bar Year’s ago when the water was up enough to boat into the Grand Canyon. By far one of the best boating trips I’ve ever been on.

Unless you have a houseboat at temple bar as a "base" I prefer cottonwood.
