Carlin wasn't a comedian (although he was one of the funniest people who ever lived)......he was a futurist - and just about everything he said is coming true.
Two different kinds of comedy, man.He doesn't stand a Chance when Comparing to = George Carlin.

Rodney was the king of one liners, George was a more intellectual, take you on the journey type comic.
Both great for their own qualities.
Love Mitch. he od’d too youngOh that’s a tough one, while Rodney was solid, not sure he could keep up with ol Don Rickles, or maybe even Mitch Hedberg

Loved Rodney but my all time favorite was Sam Kinnison.
Is he A Comedian? =
Please explain the definition of a Comedian?
Rodney was good. No doubt. But he never got no respect!
As far as stand up goes, I'll take Dave Chappelle. Chappelle was actually received the Mark Twain prize for American humor.
