My 07 is for sale with a basically new stroker motor built by John at the ProShop in Stanton (maybe 2 hours driven by my wife probably not even that). 4 seater, 5 points in front, 4's in the back, hard top custom cage and paint, has cooler rack. HID's, race radio, two headsets, audio system 2 speakers and sub with aux hookup, Fox shocks a around wheels are beadlocks, new LED whip that is still new in the tube. $7000.

If you look up the thread in cars, trailers offroad you can see it under the ad for the 2014 Heartland Road Warrior.

I would probably make the argument that if woop bashing and high speed riding is what you are looking for, you are better off spending a little extra coin on a RZR
Exact opposite of what ill be doing with one. Kids in the back =cruising only:cool:

I have a 06 with long travel and low hours. What would be a fair price.

I’d say start at $6500, see what happens. $6k is probably fair, as that looks nice.

The long travel seems to be worth about ~$500 at resale. The lack of 4 seats w/ a 4 seat capable cage and lack of full doors limits your audience a bit.

It makes no sense to purchase anything new for Rhinos these days, people just shop used ones to find what works for them.

These are the dimensions on a stock rig.
113.6” x 54.5” x 73.0”
Shouldnt make a difference if it's a 4 seater. Most aftermarket cages are slightly lower.

I bought my first Rhino in 04. I clearly remember being in Glamis and being made fun of with the "farm tractor". It was just so much simple fun having to actually work to get through the dunes. Remember people cheering when we ran Pattons hill after trying over and over for an hour. Sold it when the first RZR came out as I wanted one. Saw it and changed my mind. Bought our second which I still have. Its now on its second motor after numerous trips thorough baja and the dunes.
To us its just a simple pleasure to drive. We have plenty of family with the 1000's to use if we want and never do. No point in spending $20k in my mind for more.
Yet again we still have the golf cart as well. They both serve their own purposes. Hard to go wrong.

Mine is an 2007 660, rebuilt to a 686 runs great! It’s a 2 seater!

The only problem with the long travel, is turning on pavement, it’s arm strong steering! I was thinking about adding power steering...
Other than that I wouldn’t get one with out long travel !!

the ride is so much better.

Going one size over to a 686 is fairly cheap, just make sure to use good parts. I paid like $1200 or 1500 for Benchmark Performance to do mine and make it last!

Anyone have he stock exhaust laying around for a 660? I’m trying to find one for my father in law that has one down in Baja. His muffler had a blowout and the thing is louder than hell. My son tells his grandpa it makes his brain hurt..

That's where it starts.. lol. Just put ours up for sale, upgraded to a xp4. Sounds like it's not what you're after (carbed 660). Only 985 miles though, thing has been bulletproof.

Anybody who sees a long travel kit for sale for $500 please let me know. I have seen two on Craiglist and they are asking $2400 each. Needless to say they are still for sale.

They don't exist for $500.

I have seen long travel kits as low at $1200 with trade for factory suspension. with respect to resale, I meant if you are buying a used Rhino. If it has long travel it's worth maybe $500 extra dollars in today's market. There is no need to pay $1000+ more for one that has long travel, unless it is in great shape, or is exactly what you want.

If I went and spent $1500 or even $2400 for a used long travel kit and installed it, my Rhino might be worth $7K. I could probably sell it between $6K and $6500 as it sits today. I bought it for $6K, and have put about $800 into it. I rebuilt all 4 hubs, put in a new head unit and gauges, put in a machined sheave, and put new tires on it. In all honesty I probably spent a few hundred more than it was worth when I purchased it, but it had all the stuff I wanted, was in really good condition overall, and I really liked the look of it.

I thought you were off the boards. Rhino has been awesome! Wife told me not long after getting it that it was the best toy we bought. Haven't changed a thing on it.

So after you bought it Dave and I were drinking at the nautical one night, one thing led to another and I'm back on the board.

I've also moved to Gilbert so I'm closer to coming by to take a look.

Thanks. It’s one of a kind not another one like it. It has that short course old school rhino feel but with 90 hp and still usable out in havasu. Since I added doors life is easy!

How much is what you are looking at? Better hope you can find a used cage and used seats. If the Rhino is not really cheap, you are going to have more money in it than you want.

You could also be looking at fab work to get the seat mounted, and you’ll also need harnesses.

Best case without rock bottom prices it’s going to cost $800-$1k to make the changes you want if you can find some used stuff that will work.

If new, expect $2000 plus.

It’s gonna be a bunch of work getting a bed back in that and converting it to a 4 seater.

But that is a good price!

Dammit
..ok ..so are those cages bolted on or welded on? (When peeps change them out to a 4 seater cage?)

They can be bolted or welded, but that looks like something custom fabbed with that large rear bumper deal. But yes many cages bolt on, but could be welded to bumpers that bolt on. Usually the cages bolt to the base Rhino cage around the doors.

To make a 4 seater, you need a full bed with a floor. So you’d want to see what was needed to put a bed and floor back in it.
